Assistant Director, Career Counseling, Career & Civic Engagement Center, Bryn Mawr

Reporting to the Associate Director, Career Development & Outcomes Assessment, the Assistant Director, Career Counseling, provides career counseling and advising to undergraduates and alumnae/i up to one year out on career choice and exploration, job search strategies including resume development, interview and job search skills, and graduate/professional school application process and materials. In addition to career counseling, responsibilities will include programming and data management, and projects such as overseeing the Externship Program and the Job & Grad School Boot Camp program. The individual will collaborate with others on the Career & Civic Engagement Center team to develop services and programs that meet the career interests of the students.

Master’s degree required. Graduate work in counseling, student/human development, higher education, and/or related fields highly desirable.  Candidate should have two to three years of career counseling or academic advising in higher education setting with some familiarity of graduate/professional school application and admissions requirements.  Must have strong basic computing skills, knowledge of social media, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and ability to work on teams.  Ability to develop strong relationships with students and alumnae/i.  Possess organizational, problem-solving, and priority-setting skills.
