Feds offer new IDA funding
Funding is now available through the federal Assets for Independence program, which enables individuals and families with low incomes to become economically self-sufficient with the help of Individual Development Accounts, which participants use for home purchases, business capitalization or education and training. $19 million is available for up to 65 awards totaling up to $1 million each. Application due dates are January 15 and March 25, 2009, and 2010.
