Philadelphia Cares and ICON | Philadelphia are co-hosting a workshop on leadership in the Asian community.
The purpose of this workshop is to give participants a better understanding of issues affecting the Philadelphia Asian community, as well as to develop the skills to bring leadership to those issues and the community.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore:
Philadelphia’s different Asian ethnic communities and current issues.
A brief history of Asian Pacific Americans. (APAs)
How to gain the trust of the community.
How to organize community efforts so that they are positive and long-lasting.
Group leadership skills
