CALL FOR AWARD NOMINATIONS
CSAAH Seeks Nominations for 2005 Leadership Awards
The NYU Center for the Study of Asian American Health is currently seeking nominations for Leadership Awards to recognize individuals’ who have made significant contributions to improving Asian American health. Recipients of a National, Regional, and Youth Award will be honored at the opening ceremony for the 2nd Annual Asian American Health Conference to be held in New York City on September 23, 2005. As this year’s conference theme is "Empowering Asian American Communities," awards will be given to individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to empowering the Asian American community through their efforts in any of the following areas:
* scientific/medical/community-based research
* health policy reform
* community education
* community service
* advocacy
Nomination process: Nominations, including self-nominations, can be made by completing the attached Award Nomination Form to be submitted via email to [email protected] or fax 212-263-2133 to Henrietta Ho-Asjoe at the Center for the Study of Asian American Health. Please describe information about your nominee(s) according to the guidelines in the application. The deadline for nominations is June 15, 2005.
