Art Program Coordinator, Project Home

The Art Program Coordinator will create, organize, manage, and plan art workshops, excursions and projects in partnership with external stakeholders for residents in the Project HOME community. Art Program Coordinator will also provide support and enrichment to new and established resident artists. This position is 100% onsite.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create dynamic, innovative quality art offerings in collaboration with residential leadership, teaching artists, contracted artists, volunteers, local art and cultural institutions, educational institutions and participants.
- Ensure that projects are integrated with wellness focus, supporting individuals in recovery.
- Generate a pool of artists and content to source for projects.
- In collaboration with Manager, identify, initiate, and pursue new programmatic and project opportunities and partnerships, while developing and maintain positive relationships with partners.
- Maintain ongoing program offerings, by providing ongoing outreach and support for participants, volunteers and partners and by directly facilitating art classes for residents
- Provide supervisory, training and mentoring opportunities for participants, volunteers and teaching artists. Support teaching artists to facilitate classes
- Develops opportunities for artist exhibitions at local institutions
- Provide project coordination and operating oversight of all art programming.
- Generate material for fundraising and development efforts and reports to funders
- Promotes the use of the organization’s services and maintains community alliances.
