Art Instructor, ArtWorks! Program
Job Description: Mural Arts Program’s ArtWorks! is an anti-truancy art education program that operates 12 locations throughout the city of Philadelphia. This after-school program provides art education and youth development skills for chronically truant youth, ages 10 ? 17. The program runs October 2006 ? June 2007, 3 hours per day, two days a week.
Requirements: ArtWorks! Instructors must have a degree in Art or Art Education, possess strong leadership skills, teaching experience, ability to manage a classroom of 15 students, a desire to work with city youth, and must be confident in managing paper work and correspondence between site location and ArtWorks! staff. Ideal candidate will be prepared to work after-school and summer hours.
Salary: $21/hour
