Society of American Archivists invites applications for archival projects

Founded in 1936, the Society of American Archivists Foundation seeks to empower archivists to achieve professional excellence and foster innovation to ensure the identification, preservation, understanding, and use of records of enduring value.

To that end, the foundation invites applications for its Strategic Growth Grant program, which will award between $500 and $5,000 for work that meets strategic planning priorities and/or the foundation’s mission and goals. Applicants must make direct and substantive reference to how an award of funds will advance one or more of the strategic goals of the SAA Foundation and/or the Society of American Archivists.

Eligible applicants include practicing archivists, SAA component groups, other organizations of archivists, and allied professionals.

LOIs are due November 15, 2022, and selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal due February 1, 2023.
