Apply to Serve on the Philadelphia Board of Education – Dec 3
Posted by City of Philadelphia Office of the Mayor on December 1, 2020
Part of our commitment to providing quality education for all students was to return the School District of Philadelphia to local control through a locally appointed School Board.
The Philadelphia Board of Education governs over all public schools, district-led and charter, and oversees policy and financial decisions for the School District.
This means the goals for our public schools are made by people who live here, work here, and want the best for Philadelphia students.
The School Board demands many hours of dedicated service—and those who serve are critical to our city’s future. If you are interested in serving on the Board, please review the Board of Education job description and apply by 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 3.
