The graduate-level Teaching in Higher Education Certificate is offered by Temple University’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching in partnership with the College of Education and Human Development and has been developed especially to help you:

How do you earn the Teaching in Higher Education Certificate?
Earn the six-credit certificate by completing two courses.

  • Course I: EPSY 8985, Teaching in Higher Education Seminar (3 credits)
    • Learn about and practice implementing integrated course design, varied and inclusive teaching methods and assessments that promote significant learning.
  • Course II: EPSY 8960, Innovation, Technology, and Teaching in Higher Education (3 credits)
    • Examine, interact with, and evaluate the application of a wide range of technology-based innovations in order to achieve and assess learning goals and actively engage students.
    • Prerequisite: EPSY 8985, Teaching in Higher Education Seminar
