Posted by American Association of Colleges and Universities on February 20, 2024
Are you looking for strategies for engaging across differences and sustaining an environment of civility, trust, and safety for people with varied lived experiences? How can you and your team embrace truth-telling and narrative change as core to building relationships and leading transformation for a more just and equitable society.
Join us to learn how many educators are seeking to dismantle the false belief in a hierarchy of human value. Apply by March 28 for the virtual American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Institute on Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation™ (TRHT) Campus Centers, June 25-28, 2024.
By participating, you and your team members will:
- participate in and design Rx Racial Healing® Circles;
- develop a comprehensive action plan to implement at your institution and within your community;
- prepare to facilitate racial healing activities on your campus and in your community;
- examine the impacts of difference and bias on your campus and its surrounding community, as well as the local history that has led to these realities;
- identify evidence-based strategies that support your institution’s vision of what its surrounding community could look, feel, and be like when the belief in a hierarchy of human value no longer exists; and,
- learn to pinpoint critical levers for change and engage key stakeholders.
