Annual Autism Conference & Community Connections offers resources and answers
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Green Tree School is presenting several events during the month of April. Green Tree is an informational resource on special needs issues for the Philadelphia region. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for students with special needs and their families. Recently celebrating 50 years of innovation in special needs education, Green Tree warmly welcome you into the school community, and offer an open invitation to attend one of our upcoming programs! Thursday April 30th (5pm – 8pm) Autism Community Connections
Location: Green Tree School Multipurpose Room / 146 West Walnut Lane, Philadelphia PA 19144
Green Tree is hosting an open house opportunity for parents, caregivers, advocates and others interested in Autism Spectrum Disorder, to interact, ask questions and support each other during a night of compassionate exchanges. The autism experts at Green Tree School welcome everyone from the community to come out and exchange, relate and form connections across the spectrum. Free and appropriate childcare is available for children with ASD and without. Refreshments will be served and the event is free and open to the public.
Friday May 1st (8am – 4pm) 3rd Annual Autism Conference – ASD: Perspectives on Transitions
Location: La Salle University Student Union Building / 20th & Olney Avenues, Northwest Philadelphia
Green Tree Partnerships and LaSalle University will host the 3rd Annual Autism Conference, a one-day resource-rich symposium at LaSalle’s Philadelphia campus. Hear from two highly respected experts – Dr. Anthony Rostain (Penn Hospital and CHOP) and Scott Robertson (Autism Self-Advocacy Network) and several other dynamic speakers dealing with transition throughout the ASD Spectrum. This conference strengthens support services across the Autistic Spectrum and fosters an environment of open dialogue and invaluable professional development opportunities.
