Andrew Goodman Foundation: Legacy Summer 2022 – Aug 11-12 (Virtual)
Posted by Andrew Goodman Foundation on July 12, 2022
We are excited to announce our phenomenal lineup of expert speakers for Legacy Summer 2022! On the evening of August 11, Dave Dennis, Sr., a Freedom Rider, civil rights icon, and AGF Advisory Board Member, will speak on an inspiring intergenerational panel with our very own Andrew Goodman Ambassadors and Campus Champions.
On the following day, participants will hear educational sessions presented by our partner organizations — including the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, the Institute for Democracy & Higher Education, and the SLSV Coalition — on the themes of equity, organizing, institutionalization, and campus case studies.
The two-day virtual event is free and open to the Andrew Goodman Network of student leaders and supporters and the broader public, including students on campuses across the nation and other community members. As momentum builds toward November’s Midterm Elections, we are inspired by the spirit of Freedom Summer 1964 to create our own movement at Legacy Summer 2022.
Register today and continue checking back, as we will be revealing more of our lineup, including who is delivering the keynote address! You won’t want to miss these compelling speakers, who will activate the spirit of today’s young organizers and lead us forward in the fight for equitable voting rights.
