AmeriCorps*VISTA Volunteer Position at Saint Joseph’s University
VISTA is a national service program that places VISTA members in positions that help non-profit organizations bring individuals and communities out of poverty.
The Faith-Justice Institute at Saint Joseph’s University is seeking a year-long college graduate volunteer (beginning August 29, 2006) who can:
. Work with students, staff and community partners with the Developing Engaging Enriching People relationship (DEEP) program
. Plan and implement on-going programming for designated community partners
. Identify and acquire University resources for partnership programming
. Maintain all documentation and correspondence relevant to the DEEP program
The ideal candidate will have:
. Experience in service-learning or community service
. Strong organizational skills
. Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
. Strong written and oral communications skills
. Be 21 years of age or older and a college graduate
The position includes a monthly living allowance, health coverage, and either a $4,725 educational award or a $1,200 post-service stipend at the successful completion of the term of service.
