AmeriCorps Member/Project Manager

Greater Philadelphia Cares seeks a tech savvy, energetic, self-motivated, team player to join our dynamic programs department as an AmeriCorps Member/Project Manager, taking a leadership role in coordinating our projects to bridge the digital divide.

Greater Philadelphia Cares’ AmeriCorps Members work with non-profit and community organizations to recruit and mobilize volunteers, and design and manage volunteer programs and projects. Specific responsibilities will include: community outreach to agencies to understand their mission and how they can benefit from volunteer help, particularly from volunteers who would like to share their technological expertise; designing and coordinating projects, including those which boost the technology capacity of non-profits and their clients; conducting volunteer outreach and recruitment via phone and mail; and providing direct service at volunteer projects.

The AmeriCorps Member will serve a full-time 10.5 month term. A living stipend of $13,000/year and health insurance will be provided. After completion of the term of service, he or she will receive an educational award of $4,750. This is a great opportunity which may lead to full-time employment at the completion of your AmeriCorps term!
