AmeriCorps Financial Empowerment Services: Financial Wellness Virtual Learning Series – Nov 1

This Financial Wellness Learning Series is a virtual course offered to AmeriCorps Members and Alumni of Philadelphia-Based Programs. Latica Battle of Ardent Credit Union facilitates the courses. It aims to educate individuals on how to make wise financial decisions to promote economic well-being over their lifetime. The interactive lessons in this learning series translate complex financial concepts and help individuals develop actionable strategies for managing their finances.

When: Four-Week Learning Series: 11/1, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29

Get to know our facilitator Latica Battle! A professional, energetic, and enthusiastic individual with 17+ years of experience leading and assuming responsibilities of Member Service activity, coupled with 8+ years of “hands-on” experience in Consumer Lending, Latica Battle is a Market Manager for Ardent Credit Union. She is responsible for continuously scoping, developing, and refining Ardent Credit Union’s market strategy at the Center City Branch.

Latica manages the daily operations of the Center City branch and is also responsible for developing, growing, and maintaining new and existing businesses within the branch. In addition, Latica manages Ardent Credit Union’s VA Branch, where she oversees branch operations and business development.

Since her time with Ardent Credit Union, her passion for financial education has continued to thrive. As a volunteer for Junior Achievement and prior engagements with Power Corps (PHL), Latica provides financial education to the youth of Philadelphia and surrounding communities. Latica is a member of POWER (The POWER of Professional Women), a Philadelphia-based forum that promotes professionalism, interests, career development, leadership skills, and community involvement.
