America’s Promise: The Alliance for Youth: Voices Study.
America’s Promise (AP), a youth support network, recently took a nationwide survey of America’s young people, ages 10 through 17. AP sought to glean insights directly from young people about their needs and their dreams -insights that will be valuable in helping Americans to better meet those needs. It was found that although most young people believe in the American Dream, more than 40% say they doubt whether they can realize that Dream for themselves. These findings cut across lines of race, geography and economic status. The survey data and results give us both a clear call to action and a roadmap for keeping America’s Promise to create a better future for the nation’s youth. For a full report, visit:
