Back to the roots…
The American Community Gardening Association was founded in 1979 in Chicago. A group of forward thinking community garden leaders realized that, together, their impact was much greater than their individual contributions. This grassroots, collective effort has been a leading voice in the community garden movement ever since. Run by a passionate volunteer board for the past 35 years, ACGA has provided education, advocacy, networking and a variety of other member benefits via the annual conference, print publications, workshops and more.
