ecoAmerica Invites Proposals for Climate Action
Hosted by ecoAmerica, the American Climate Leadership Awards recognize individuals and local and national organizations for their demonstrated success in mobilizing public support and political will on climate among key constituencies.
The goal of the program is to help accelerate the replication of diverse climate actions nationwide. The program welcome entries from community, faith, health, and youth organizations and leaders (or those who engage these constituencies) at the local, regional and national level, with priority given to those that emphasize diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preliminary submissions will be accepted through October 31. Qualifying applicants will be notified on December 1, with final proposals due February 1, 2020. Ten finalists will be notified by March 1, 2020, and will each receiving $10,000, plus travel and event expenses to attend ACLS 2020. To be announced be announced live during the awards ceremony, one winner and one runner-up will be awarded $50,000 and $25,000. The awardees also will be featured in the ACLS 2020 Recommendations Report and promoted to national press and ecoAmerica’s Network and partners.
