Cancer Prevention Study
What if you could prevent even one family from hearing the words “you have cancer?” What if you could help save lives by sharing a little bit about yours? Well, you can.
This year, the American Cancer Society invites you to join in our effort to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping their researchers learn more about the many factors– behavioral, environmental, genetic– that may cause or prevent cancer.
Who’s Eligible to Enroll?
Men & Women between the ages of 30 and 65
Never been diagnosed with cancer (not including basal or squamous cell skin cancer)
Willing to make a long-term commitment to the study, which involves completing periodic follow-up surveys at home
There will be 9 enrollment opportunities spanning the Philadelphia Metro area from April 24th through May 9th, 2013. Step 3: Only takes 25 minutes to enroll! At enrollment you will sign a consent form, complete a brief survey, provide a waist circumference measurement, and give a small blood sample.
Step 4: Complete Follow-up Surveys! Complete periodic surveys sent to your home every few years to update your information.
