Friends of former councilman forming team for Alzheimer’s Walk
Upon hearing the news that longtime community leader and former City Councilman Ed Schwartz has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, friends and community activists have come together to form For The Love of Ed Schwartz, a team participating in the Alzheimer’s Walk happening on September 10th beginning at 11am.
Schwartz until recently was the longtime the director of the Institute for the Study of Civic Values and was among the first to use Internet tools to organize neighborhoods and communities.
