Posted by Philadelphia Arts in Education Program on January 14, 2020
Alexander Adaire K-8 public school in Fishtown is very proud to host, with the support of the Philadelphia Arts in Education Program (PAEP), a Family Engagement Event tailored toward children in 3rd grade and older and their families, featuring Rohan Murphy (http://www.rohanmurphy.com/index.html) and his inspirational talk, “Living a Life with Purpose.” Join us on Wednesday, February 5th, from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Adaire Auditorium, Thompson and Palmer Streets, in the heart of Fishtown.
Rohan Murphy is a nationally recognized youth-speaker who has spoken in over 40 states. Rohan, who lost his legs at birth, started to wrestle his freshman year of high school. After a successful high school wrestling career he went on to wrestle at Penn State University. In addition to wrestling, Rohan Murphy is also an accomplished powerlifter, representing the US in international competitions all over the world.
Rohan has lived his whole life motivating people by his actions, he is now motivating the youth of America by his words. His life story is a gripping tale of adversity, dedication, and living life with a purpose.
Rohan’s been featured on ABC’s 20/20: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2zrasNarzU&feature=youtu.be
