Job Summary
The AIDS Education Month (AEM) Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Education Department in planning and implementing key conferences and events during AIDS Education Month, a series of public programs held every June in Philadelphia with the goal of raising HIV/AIDS awareness in the Philadelphia area. This position will have a key role in developing community collaboration, workshops for conferences, and programmatic aspects of AEM events, primarily for the HIV Prevention and Outreach Summit, Beyond the Walls: the Prison Health Care and Reentry Summit, the Community Cookout, and the youth oriented events held every June. The AEM Coordinator reports to the Director of Education, but works closely with other Philadelphia FIGHT staff to ensure successful planning of the AEM events listed above. The AEM Coordinator represents Philadelphia FIGHT both on site and in the community, in a courteous, efficient manner that reflects the high level of integrity and customer service mandated by Philadelphia FIGHT.
