After-School Program Assistant, for immediate posting

Position Summary:
Assists in implementing planned activities and field trips for the Dignity After-School Program; provides general homework assistance and computer exposure for children in the After-School Program; provides parents with frequent updates on children’s progress in the After-School Program; completes monthly report of program activities, attendance, and progress; develops and implements daily academic, social, and cultural curriculum in the After-School Program and facilitates all day to day operations of the After-School Program.  Starting salary- $10.00-$12.00/hour, 20 hours/week, part-time employee

Qualifications:  Previous professional experience with children required; Conflict resolution training preferred; Group Management Skills required; Proficiency in general computer operating systems, including: Word, Excel, Outlook, & Publisher.

Education: High school diploma required, at least 2 years of higher education preferred.

Additional Requirements: Valid Driver’s License, insurance, and vehicle preferred- access to insured vehicle required; Current child abuse clearance and criminal background check required; Writing sample required with application for employment; Minimum of three professional references required, unless otherwise indicated.
