United Communities – After School Group Leader
United Communities Southeast Philadelphia is looking for an experienced After School Group Leader who will care for children in an assigned group, under the guidance and supervision of the Program Coordinator.
The Group Leader assists the Program Coordinator in both planning and implementing a variety of learning and program activities in order to meet the physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of children ages 6 through 12. S/he assists in the implementation of weekly lessons plan to ensure activities are geared toward the grade level assigned to the group; participants with daily homework assignments and provides individual tutoring as needed; and assists with social skills activities that enhance awareness and appreciation of cultural heritage.
Candidates should have a high school diploma (some college preferred); a minimum of one year experience working with at risk youth; excellent communication skills; experience in intervention/conflict resolution. The position is part-time, Monday-Friday, 3-6pm.
