Delco Literacy celebrates African American History Month
The Delaware County Literacy Council will present African-American Women: Hope and Believe, a potluck celebration of Black History Month on Thursday, February 23rd, at 5:30 pm at 2217 Providence Avenue in Chester.
The event will bring together DCLC staff, volunteer tutors, and adult learners as they celebrate the rich history of African-Americans, with an emphasis on the contributions of African-American women.
The event will feature guest speakers, a panel of concerned community members, and presentations by adult literacy students, as well as a potluck supper. All are welcome. RSVP is requested, with an indication of the “dish to pass,” at 610-876-4811.
