Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing

Last week, the Philadelphia Housing Authority and the City’s Division of Housing and Community Development released their Assessment of Fair Housing in response to HUD’s Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule, which requires analyzing fair housing obstacles to access and establishing measurable benchmarks for the future. The goal of the assessment is to develop strategies for increasing opportunities and ensuring equitable, inclusive communities.

The public can comment on this draft plan until December 12, 2016, and written comments can be sent to info.dhcd@phila.gov
Two public hearings where you can testify in person will be held on November 17th:
11am – 1pm: at Philadelphia Housing Authority, 12 South 23rd Street, 6th Floor
4pm – 7pm: City of Philadelphia Department of Housing and Community Development, 1234 Market Street, 3rd Floor
