Advocating for Social Change: The Lobbying Rules for Nonprofits
Location: Community College of Philadelphia, 18th St and Callowhill, Philadelphia
The seminar is geared to nonprofits wanting to learn or strengthen their skills allowing them to participate in public policy at the local, state, and/or national level.
You will learn: How much can a 501(c)(3) lobby? Can we ask foundations for grants for lobbying? Can we produce a voter’s guide or invite candidates to speak? How can we structure affiliated organizations?
Featured speaker will be Tim Mooney, counsel for the Alliance for Justice.
The seminar is Wednesday, November 10 from 9:30am-2pm.
