Advocating for Community Schools
April 30th 3-4pm EST – Federal and State Policy 101:
The Coalition will share a concise overview of the federal and state policies and programs supportive of community schools so you can walk away with useful talking points to use for Education Day. We will also give a brief summary of the current state of federal education policy, specifically regarding ESEA reauthorization.

May 22nd 3-4pm EST – How to Advocate for Community Schools on the Hill:
Presenters will review highlights of the Coalition’s Advocacy Toolkit to help you feel fully prepared to advocate effectively with your federal and state legislators on Education Day. We will review how to prepare your “pitch” and “asks” in your meetings, activities to take part in on Education Day beyond legislator meetings, and more. You will walk away feeling informed and ready to advocate!
