Actuarial Foundation offers math programs for schools
The Actuarial Foundation is offering Advancing Student Achievement grants in varying amounts for grades 4-12 schools to develop math mentoring programs. The foundation will provide funding and a local network of actuaries ready to mentor in the fun and creative math enhancement mentoring programs you develop.
Funds are to be used for direct project overhead expenses, cost of program coordination, management, tutor training and recruitment. Groups applying for grants will be given wide latitude in designing programs that enhance learning and create a “love of math” in each student.
It is helpful to contact the foundation prior to writing a proposal to discuss ideas and request additional information.
