Title:  Adult, Youth, and Early Learning Educators
Status: Full time and Part-time

General Description:  Community Women’s Education Project, CWEP, is a community-based organization founded in 1977 to support families as they move toward self-sufficiency.   CWEP provides an array of educational and support services, primarily for women and their children in the Kensington, Port Richmond, Fishtown, and surrounding communities.  Currently, we are seeking full and part-time Adult and Youth Educators and full-time Early Learning Educators.  The instructor(s) should subscribe to a student-centered, holistic, pedagogical approach, using a work-based curriculum for the adults and youth and Creative Curriculum for the preschool learners.

Duties:
    Instruct students using variety of resources including the Internet, newspapers, magazines, and print materials

    Plan lessons designed to develop decision-making, problem-solving, and communicative skills necessary for students to pass the GED test, enter college or higher institute of learning and/or obtain, retain, advance in a job

    Facilitate small and large group discussions and activities in the classroom

    Assess and document students’ progress

    Integrate technology in the classroom

General Requirements:
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education; Bachelor Degree in Education or related field of study; teaching experience preferred; experience working with diverse and low income populations preferred
