Become a Volunteer Adult Education Tutor
Lutheran Settlement House, 1340 Frankford Ave, is seeking volunteers. Volunteer tutors work with adult learners one-on-one or in small groups to help them meet their educational goals, including working towards the GED, basic math and literacy, and improving digital literacy skills. Hours for tutoring are flexible. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is helpful for volunteers, but not required. Tutors are provided with curriculum materials, both physical and online, to use with students. Tutors are asked to commit to 3-5 hours/week of tutoring for a minimum of 4 months.
