Adult Education Teacher, Community Learning Center

Community Learning Center, an outcome-driven nonprofit adult literacy organization, seeks a full-time teacher.
Responsibilities:
– Teach reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science to build learners’ skills so that learners can earn a GED
– Maintain accurate and timely attendance, assessment, goal, and other data
– Prepare student-centered, contextualized lessons
– Attend professional development activities and other professional meetings
Qualifications:
– Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
– Experience teaching adults preferred
– Experience and/or training in teaching reading or math preferred
– Strong base of general knowledge
– Excellent organizational, writing, and computer skills
– Creativity
– Initiative
– Flexibility
– Positive attitude
– Ability to work well with diverse population
