Adult Education Site Coordinator Series

This Spring, the Office of Adult Education for the City of Philadelphia welcomes new and existing adult educators, administrators and coordinators to join them for free professional development and training opportunities that will explore what it takes to establish and maintain a successful adult literacy program. The trainings will take place from February 10th-June 9th and will be facilitated by national and local experts in Adult Education! For more information, visit their website.

The Site Coordinator Series will include the following workshops:
1) Planning for Quality on February 10th & February 17th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for both dates.
2) Volunteer Management on March 10th & 17th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for both dates.
3) Helping Adult Learners Succeed on March 31st & April 7th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for both dates.
4) Supporting Instructional Practices on April 21st & April 28th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for both dates.
5) Budget and Fundraising for Adult Literacy Programs on June 2nd & June 9th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for both dates.
Additional training by Burlington English and Graduate! Philadelphia are also included:
1) Burlington English: ESL Instruction in the Classroom and Beyond on March 3rd from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
2) Adult ESL Students Transitioning to College Workshop on March 3rd from 1-4 p.m.
3) Supportive Services Panel on March 31st from 1-3 p.m.
