Adolescent Therapist, The Attic Youth Center

The Attic Youth Center, Philadelphia’s only agency exclusively serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth (LGBTQ), is seeking an experienced adolescent therapist.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Provide one-on-one, couples, and/or family therapy on a weekly basis to youth and young adults ages 14-23;
• Participate in scheduled individual and group supervisory meetings; • Attend supervision prepared to discuss cases;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on clients as required by agency and funding sources;
• Attend mandatory and recommended trainings; and
• Comply with the personnel policies of The Attic Youth Center. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Masters degree in psychology, counseling or related human services field;
• Experience with adolescent populations;
• Knowledge of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth issues as well as multicultural competence;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Ability to exercise independent judgment when appropriate; strong decision-making skills; and
• Computer Skills: Strong with proficiency in all programs of the current Microsoft Office suite.
(Hourly, 6-8 hours per week)
Reports to: Clinical Coordinator
