ADOLESCENT THERAPIST, The Attic Youth Center

(Hourly, 6-8 hours per week)
Reports to: Clinical Coordinator
The Attic Youth Center, Philadelphia’s only agency exclusively serving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth (LGBTQ), is seeking an experienced adolescent therapist.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Provide one-on-one, couples, and/or family therapy on a weekly basis to youth and young adults ages 14-23;
• Participate in scheduled individual and group supervisory meetings;
• Attend supervision prepared to discuss cases;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on clients as required by agency and funding sources;
• Attend mandatory and recommended trainings; and
• Comply with the personnel policies of The Attic Youth Center.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Masters degree in psychology, counseling or related human services field;
• Experience with adolescent populations;
• Knowledge of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth issues as well as multicultural competence;
• Strong oral and written communication skills;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Ability to exercise independent judgment when appropriate; strong decision-making skills; and
• Computer Skills: Strong with proficiency in all programs of the current Microsoft Office suite.
