Administrative Assistant/Front Desk, Sunrise of Philadelphia
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide quality customer service to our families and clients in a full or part-time capacity. We are a non-profit organization with our location in a Philadelphia high school located at 1900 S. 8th Street.
Responsibilities:
• Process admissions of enrolled students
• Provide service to parents
• Serve as a reception point of contact between the center and community
• Assist in the retention strategy of students
• Facilitate communications with students, staff, parents and community.
• Enter and support maintaining complete and current student data into computer system (when needed to support our data entry manager)
• Maintain records in proper files
• Prepare and assist Program Coordinator with daily schedules
• Manage and prepare daily staff sign-in registers
• This position reports directly to the Program Coordinator and Chief Financial Officer
• Attend meetings with provider agencies and the Southeast Philadelphia Youth Collaborative
• Take minutes at meetings and prepare for administrators
• Arrange for Professional Development of staff with United Way
• Assist Educational Liaison
• Prepare agendas for Board of Directors meetings
Qualifications:
1. Minimum education is HS diploma or GED (preferably enrolled in college or university)
2. Background clearances are required and reimbursed by employer upon hire
3. Proficiency with MS Office (excel, word)
4. Familiarity with urban schools and afterschool programs
5. Experience in and desire to work in a child friendly environment
6. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
7. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
8. Must have drivers license
