The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania (ACLU of PA) is the state affiliate of the national American Civil Liberties Union. We have 20,000 members, 11 chapters, and 18 employees in three offices who work together to promote, defend and advance constitutional principles founded in the Bill of Rights through litigation, legislative advocacy and community education. We?re looking for a full-time Administrative Assistant in our Eastern Region Office (located in Philadelphia) to add to our dynamic team.

JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Assistant will work, in conjunction with the Director of Finance & Administration, to create, implement, and maintain administrative systems that foster the smooth operation of our statewide program. He or she will have opportunities to learn about the issues and participate in events while providing or supervising general administrative support to other departments. In addition, the Administrative Assistant has the following defined areas of responsibility within the Department of Finance & Administration:
? Office Management (Coordination w/ maintenance, keys & access, etc)
? Coordination of Postal/Mail Services and Telephone/Voicemail System
? Management of Office Supplies Budget & Ordering Procedures
? Administrative coordination of Board of Directors meetings (facilities, catering, minutes, etc.)
? Volunteer Data Tracking
? Merchandise Inventory
? Assistance with bookkeeping

QUALIFICATIONS
We?re looking for an organized, efficient administrative professional with a minimum of three years experience and a commitment to civil rights and civil liberties. Specific requirements include:
? An Associate?s degree or equivalent life experience
? Experience creating filing systems, managing databases, and supervising volunteers
? Competency with Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.
