Adjunct Teaching Positions – Biology and English for Spanish-speakers

ADJUNCT TEACHING POSITIONS OPEN

BIOLOGY 104 ? HUMAN BIOLOGY
The Nueva Esperanza Center for Higher Education of Eastern University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach Human Biology. The class will be taught from 6 pm to 10 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 7 through October 7. There will also be two Saturday morning laboratory sessions on September 18 and October 2.

Applicants must possess a Master?s Degree in a biological or medical science and some facility in Spanish. The salary is $2,800, which also requires that the instructor attend three faculty development workshops during the semester.

LAN 151/ENG 101 ? ACADEMIC ENGLISH FOR SPANISH-DOMINANT SPEAKERS, II/INTRODUCTION TO ACADEMIC ENGLISH
The Nueva Esperanza Center for Higher Education of Eastern University is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach an introductory English course this fall from August 3 through December 16. The class is from 10:15 am to 11:15 am. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We will continue interviewing until this position has been filled, even though the class has already begun.

Applicants must possess a Master?s Degree in English, Education, or related field. Since some of the students will be bilingual English/Spanish, experience in teaching second language students would be an asset. The salary is $2,800, which also requires that the instructor attend three faculty development workshops during the semester.
