Workshop on domestic violence in health settings
Laurel House will present Addressing Domestic Violence in the Health Care Setting, a workshop focusing on the assessment of domestic violence in the health care setting, on Friday, June 11th from 9am to 3:30pm at the Montgomery County Human Services Center, 1430 DeKalb Pike in Norristown.
The seminar will feature a special afternoon segment dedicated to the impact of domestic violence on children. Studies show that children raised in households where there is abuse are traumatized, even if the abuse is not directed at them. Speakers during this portion of our program will be discussing issues including behavioral red flags in a variety of settings and available resources for children.
