Workshop addresses domestic violence in healthcare
On October 16th, Laurel House will present Addressing Domestic Violence in the Health Care Setting, a continuing medical education workshop, on Friday, October 16th at Lankenau Hospital.
Domestic violence impacts the lives of one in four women and an increasing number of men. This workshop is geared toward health care and social service providers but anyone who would like a better understand of domestic violence and how it impacts families through the generations is welcome. There will be a special segment about the newly mandated state regulations regarding minimal forensic rape exam for Pennsylvania hospitals.
The workshop takes place from 9am-3:30pm (sign in and breakfast begin at 8:30am) in the Annenberg Conference Center Rooms 101 A-B-C at Lankenau Hospital, 100 Lancaster Avenue, Wynnewood. Five continuing education credits will be available for many service providers. Pre-registration is required.
