A fork in the road: Building radical spirit-led activism
Come join the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign and the Church of the Overcomer for the alternative spring break of a lifetime!
Together we will be following the ugly road – the long, imperfect struggle for peace and social justice. Through this unique week-long poverty immersion program (March 10-16th) you will have opportunities to:
- Learn from seasoned, nationally-recognized political organizers
- Receive non-denominational spiritual guidance and daily reflection
- Participate in community service opportunities related to economic human rights
- Hear from special guest speakers
- Gain hands-on experience with community organizing
- Go on a ‘reality tour’ of local communities and become an ally in daily struggles
- Participate in political demonstrations to build a movement to end poverty
- And more…
