Lever for Change invites applications for Action for Women’s Health
Lever for Change has announced the launch of Action for Women’s Health, a $250 million global open call by Pivotal that seeks to support organizations around the world that are improving women’s mental and physical health.
According to the open call, the ability of women to exercise their full power in society is directly connected to the quality of their health. Yet today, women experience inequities across all aspects of their health. These inequities can negatively impact their daily lives, as well as their prospects and prosperity, their ability to engage in their communities, and their opportunities to achieve their goals.
This open call envisions a future in which health-related barriers no longer prevent women from exercising their full power in society. Organizations best suited for this opportunity are those that serve women and are dedicated to improving women’s mental and/or physical health. The focus of each organization may range from improving women’s daily health, their longevity, their access to care, their ability to engage in daily life, and/or their opportunity to form and support a family. The open call is focused on improving the health of people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, and races who identify as women, including those within the LGBTQ+ community. Organizations that serve non-binary and gender-nonconforming people are also eligible.
Awardees will receive flexible funding between $1 million and $5 million. Additionally, organizations will be added to Lever for Change’s Bold Solutions Network, which offers ongoing learning and networking opportunities to strengthen the impact of their work, raise their visibility, and increase their potential to secure funding.
Organizations from around the world are invited to apply. Eligible organizations must serve women and have a record of improving women’s mental or physical health. They should center equity in their approach and be poised to scale their work to strengthen the health of more women.
Before applying, applicants are encouraged to complete the Organizational Readiness Tool to ensure that the organization is a strong fit. Interested organizations must register to apply by December 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CT, with complete applications due January 10, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CT.
