Acting Superintendent and Chief Academic OffIcer’s Community Forum
We would like to invite all Philadelphia parents and caregivers, including parents of Philadelphia charter schools, along with parent groups and organizations to come to the School District’s Education Center to meet with Tom Knudsen, Acting Superintendent and Chief Recovery Officer of the School District of Philadelphia, and Penny Nixon, our Chief Academic Officer.
This meeting is one of the series of leadership meetings with major stakeholder groups to discuss the ideas and proposals for the planned reorganization of the District to address the changing financial and political realities. This special meeting with parents will be taking place next Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the second floor Auditorium of the District’s Education Center (440 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130).
The decisions made this year will impact the future of the District and all Philadelphia schools for the years to come. We can’t be silent when the decisions are made about our children’s future! We all need to speak out now.
