Deloitte sets community leadership forum

Registration has opened for As One: Achieving Cohesive Nonprofit Leadership, a seminar on engaging boards and staff to maximize performance, on Friday, June 8th from 8:30am to noon.

This Deloitte Community Leadership Forum will be held at Deloitte LLP, 1700 Market Street, Philadelphia and registration is free.

The forum will introduce As One, integration strategies that can help nonprofits realize the full power of their people: staff, board members, and volunteers.

The seminar will discuss new models for integrating stakeholders at various levels within the organization, and will study ways to evaluate one’s own personal leadership style and how to engage board members, leadership, staff and volunteers to focus As One on mission and objectives.  Participants will leave with strategies and key talking points to begin using immediately.

As One takes more than 60 cases of successful, collective behavior and applies advanced analytics to identify key characteristics of effective leadership. It debunks the myth that there are only two major styles of leadership: the traditional command-and-control model and the newer collaborative model. In reality, there are multiple styles of leadership, some or all of which may lead to more effective collaboration, depending on the situation.

The Deloitte Community Leadership Forum is an important component of the company’s skill-based volunteer program.  It provides qualified volunteers with an effective and efficient way to deliver training workshops and collaborative capacity-building sessions to nonprofit executives and their board members.  The Forum is held in the Spring and Winter.

These programs are delivered pro bono, though space is limited.  To register, go here.
