Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), a dynamic $8.0M nonprofit, works to improve maternal and child health and well-being. Based in Philadelphia, PA, MCC seeks an experienced Accounting Manager that reports directly to the Director of Finance & Administration.
Responsibilities:
Performs monthly close including journal entries, cash receipts, bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliation, etc.
Manages accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepares monthly financial / quarterly financial statements, spending projections and related analysis for Executive Leadership, Finance Committee and Board of Directors
Support the development of the Finance Committee, EHS Board and Board of Directors financial packages
Administers the database structure of Sage Non-Profit Accounting system for financial recording and reporting
Manages cash flow and develops ongoing projections
Lead the agency annual budget process with direction from Finance Director
Maintains updates of distribution codes to ensure accurate recording of expense against revenue
Maintains the fixed asset inventory and related depreciation schedules
Prepares budgets for funders, monitors grants and contracts and reports on timely basis
Manages annual audit process
Files agency 1099s, addresses all tax related issues
Enforces internal controls, Finance Policies and Procedures and recommends changes to improve processes
Prepares federal Early Head Start program budget, federal reports and analysis on timely basis, provides monthly internal EHS financial reporting package to EHS Leadership Team, EHS Board and Policy Council
Supervises staff accountant
