Fast Forward Seeks Applications for Technology Accelerator Program
Fast Forward unlocks the power of the tech community to tackle social issues. From poverty, to education access, to improving health, to environmental degradation — Fast Forward believes that technology can impact lives at scale unmatched in human history.
Through its Accelerator for Tech Nonprofits program, Fast Forward looks for product-driven nonprofits working to leverage open source software, always connected mobile devices, open APIs, and inexpensive variable cost web infrastructure to solve education, environmental, health, and human rights issues. When it identifies a nonprofit it would like to support, Fast Forward then provides financial and human capital to help scale the organization’s technology solution and maximize its impact. Organizations selected to participate the Fast Forward program will receive a $25,000 grant, thirteen weeks of summer training in San Francisco, and connections to a network mentors.
To be eligible, organizations must be a nonprofit leveraging technology to address a problem in the arts/culture, education, the environment, food/agriculture, health/healthcare, human rights, poverty alleviation/economic development, or public service/civic engagement.
See the Fast Forward website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
