Academic Support Volunteer Training (Virtual) – Feb 2 or 12

This virtual training is for Academic Support Volunteers supporting schools operated by the School District of Philadelphia.
Select your date! Either Wednesday, February 2 from 4:30-8:00 PM or Saturday, February 12 from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM (it is the same training, offered twice).
Academic Support Volunteers are those providing in classroom support to students, one-on-one or in small groups, under school or program staff supervision.
Attendees will be provided with skills to establish healthy relationships with students, and strategies to increase their effectiveness as Academic Support Volunteers.
Key topic areas will include: equity and cultural responsiveness, strategies for building healthy relationships with students, and general best practices in supporting students around literacy.
