Posted by American Association of Colleges and Universities on March 5, 2024
***Registration Deadline Extended to May 30***
Designed for those who have reached, or are nearing, a tipping point in building their capacity for integrating cultural responsiveness into their institutional change strategies, the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Teaching to Increase Diversity and Equity in STEM (TIDES) Institute takes place June 23–27 at the Lansdowne Resort and Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
The TIDES Institute offers a unique opportunity for faculty and administrators to build capacity and self-efficacy in understanding the root causes of exclusion and marginalization in STEM and the roles and responsibilities we all have in confronting and combatting them. Participants should come prepared to do the deep, internal work that has been repeatedly shown to be essential to achieving cultural responsiveness. Uniquely designed presentations and experiential activities, as well as expert-guided discussions with institution transformation coaches, are a hallmark of TIDES.
Early bird registration ends March 15, 2024. Early registration is highly recommended as space is limited.
