PACDA Presents: Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on the Way People Learn and Build Careers
Date and Time: Friday, November 8, 2019, 7:45-10:00 AM
Location: The Pyramid Club – 52nd Floor, 1735 Market St, Philadelphia
On behalf of the Pennsylvania Career Development Association (the newly chartered State Division of NCDA), we cordially invite you to join us for an exciting discussion on artificial intelligence and the future of work.
As career and human resource professionals, we will be increasingly challenged to understand how AI systems disrupt the nature of work by mimicking human behavior. But does AI mean only that robots are destined to take away jobs from people? That’s one way to look at it. Another is that automation may create more jobs than it displaces.
By offering new tools for entrepreneurs, AI may also create new lines of business that we can’t imagine now. Just as important is to grasp how AI has impacted the recruiting and selection process within organizations. Job candidates are screened in or out by increasingly powerful applicant tracking systems. Often, candidates may not encounter a human in the initial phases of the selection process because they are asked to complete video recordings or multiple assessments. How do we prepare our clients for these challenges?
