900AM-WURD, Pennsylvania’s only African-American talk radio station, is proud to kick-off its 2011 WURD Speaks interactive event series with “Green – The New Black: A Conversation on Social Activism and Environmental Justice.” This event will feature a landmark conversation between Van Jones, President Obama’s former Green Jobs leader, environmentalist and co-founder of the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Color of Change and Green For All and John Francis, Ph.D., environmental activist and author of “Planetwalker: 22 Years of Walking. 17 Years of Silence.”
